How to reset UFEI CMOS of the windows tablet which do not come with CMOS battery.

How to reset cmos of windows tab when the tab does not contain any battery to remove and the usb ports are disable accidently.

I am accidently disable the usb ports of the tablet from bios and after that i can not change the bios setting because touchscreen can not work in BIOS and also no USB keyboard and mouse work (TAB does not contain any PS2 port )so stuck on BIOS screen after so many research on internet i will found the below steps and successfully reset my bios.

Successfully tried on I Ball Slide WQ-149i.

Pls do the below steps with very carefully because it will damage BIOS of your tablet if u do it wrong .

1)Shut down the tablet.

2) Open the back cover of the tablet.

3)Carefully remove the heatsink cover on the main motherboard .

4)Find the bios chip winbond 25XX on the main board.

5)Now start the tablet and after that continuous short the pin no 2 of that chip with ground pin of the board  of the tablet

  3. SI AL ALGUIEN LE SIRVE, TUVE UNA TABLET VULCAN FLEXNOTE A LA CUAL DE TANTO MOVERLE A LA BIOS TERMINÉ DESACTIVANDO LA PANTALLA. YA QUE TRAE UNAS FUNCIONES PARA CAMBIARLE PARAMETROS. VI ESTE POST Y LO INTENTÉ SIN EXITO. PERO TOMANDOLO COMO REFERENCIA Y CON LO VISTO EN OTROS FOROS HICE LO SIGUIENTE. CONECTE EL CARGADOR DE MI EQUIPO Y COLOQUÉ UN CABLE PEQUEÑO EN EL PIN 2 Y EL PIN 4 Y SIN QUE SE DESCONECTARAN DI ENCENDIDO AL EQUIPO, POSTERIORMENTE LO VOLVÍ A HACER PERO CON EL PIN 7 Y EL 4. SEGUN L DIAGRAMA DE MI COMPONENTE DE BIOS EL PIN 4 ES GND POR LO QUE ME SIRVIÓ Y VUALÁ, VOLVIO A ENCENDER MI EQUIPO. MI BIOS ES 25LQ64CVIG

  10. hi friends , for resetting 25Q64FWSIG you need to disconnect pin 3 which is WR protection but do this with battery disconnected , the rest of the procedure as above short the pin 7 and pin 4(or ground it is the same) as soon as screen starts but briefly and bios is in factory settings and usb is activated again

  13. This worked for my LINX 10 Windows 8.1 Bing tablet (upgraded to Windows 10).
I’d spent days creating a clean Windows 10 installation with the perfect configuration and all the correct drivers installed... getting the front and rear cameras working was a pig!
After fiddling around with the BIOS I accidentally switched off the USB port... why oh why I had to poke about in the BIOS I’ll never know.
With the USB port disabled I couldn’t connect any USB devices and most crucially I couldn’t use Acronis to image the tablet any longer.
To reset the BIOS on this tablet requires a slightly different procedure as with pins 4 and 7 initially shorted the tablet won’t switch on.
So for this to work you need to switch the tablet on and as soon as the front red LED (next to the camera) comes on short out pins 4 and 7 the Winbond 25Q64FWSIG BIOS chip.
If I remember correctly the tablet will then switch off.
When you switch it back on the BIOS will load in the default values and voilà you’re good to go.
    Lesson learned!
